Although the sign reads "暮らしの道具" (Murashi no Dogu), meaning "household goods," the third-generation president, Hiroshi Matsuno, calls them "aramono." "Aramono" is similar to general merchandise but carries a more rugged feel, more accurately describing how the store's products are meticulously crafted piece by piece by the creators.
雖然招牌上寫：「暮らしの道具」，意思就是「生活用品」。但第三代的松野弘社長則稱他們為「荒物」。所謂「荒物」（aramono），跟雜貨用品的意思一樣但是又多了一點粗曠的感覺，更能貼切形容店內商品都是由創作者一點一滴、仔仔細細做出的作品
