Summary	0000435: Problems with cp1251
Description	I use windows-1251. When I write some russian text eg. "ываываы" and safe, it print ok, without problems. But when I go to edit mode, it shows as "ываываы" How can I resolve this trouble?

administrator 2014-01-04 09:19 administrator ~0000909	I'm not sure but what shows up in edit mode? Did you made an upgrade to 5.0 recently? I asking this because I want to figure out what encoding related setting might causing this. Can you provide a screen shot with the edit mode?

administrator 2014-01-05 09:43 administrator ~0000911	It seems that the setting of your page language is not [ru] and therefor all Cyrillic characters where encoded as Unicode decimal HTML-Entities because the chosen char set for the page did not support Cyrillic characters. Solution: please go to the page /properties and change the page language from [en] to [ru]. Reenter the Cyrillic characters and save the page. WackoWiki takes the user language as default if you create a new page. -- A good introduction to the topic: http://kunststube.net/encoding/ OT: UTF-8 will solve all this but I can't say how long all the patches and tests will take for a new release.
