WackoWiki was forked from the famous WakkaWiki engine in 2003 when Hendrik Mans and Carlo Zottmann, the original developers, abandoned it.

Yandex.Wiki forked from WackoWiki and completely re-written in Python with many new features, such as spreadsheets, diagram formatting and search based on Yandex.Search engine.
